SYNOPSIS

Adds a Performance Data Collector Counter.





SYNTAX

Add-DbaPfDataCollectorCounter [[-ComputerName] <Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]>]

[[-Credential] <Pscredential>] [[-CollectorSet] <System.String[]>] [[-Collector] <System.String[]>] [-Counter]

<System.Object[]> [[-InputObject] <System.Object[]>] [-EnableException <Switch>] [<CommonParameters>]





DESCRIPTION

Adds a Performance Data Collector Counter.





PARAMETERS

-Collector [<System.String[]>]

The Collector name.

-CollectorSet [<System.String[]>]

The Collector Set name.

The target computer. Defaults to localhost.

-Counter [<System.Object[]>]

The Counter name. This must be in the form of '\\Processor(_Total)\\% Processor Time'.

-Credential [<Pscredential>]

Allows you to login to $ComputerName using alternative credentials. To use:



$cred = Get-Credential, then pass $cred object to the -Credential parameter.

-EnableException [<Switch>]

By default, when something goes wrong we try to catch it, interpret it and give you a friendly warning message.

This avoids overwhelming you with "sea of red" exceptions, but is inconvenient because it basically disables

advanced scripting.

Using this switch turns this "nice by default" feature off and enables you to catch exceptions with your own

try/catch.

Accepts the object output by Get-DbaPfDataCollector via the pipeline.
