NAME Add-DbaRegServerGroup

SYNOPSIS

Adds registered server groups to SQL Server Central Management Server (CMS)

SYNTAX

Add-DbaRegServerGroup [[-SqlInstance] <Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]>]

[[-SqlCredential] <Pscredential>] [-Name] <String> [[-Description] <String>] [[-Group] <String>] [[-InputObject]

<Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.RegisteredServers.ServerGroup[]>] [-EnableException <Switch>] [<CommonParameters>]

DESCRIPTION

Adds registered server groups to SQL Server Central Management Server (CMS). If you need more flexibility, look

into Import-DbaRegServer which accepts multiple kinds of input and allows you to add reg servers and groups from

different CMS.

PARAMETERS

-Description [<String>]

The description for the registered server group

Required? false

Position? named

Default value

Accept pipeline input? False

Accept wildcard characters? false

-EnableException [<Switch>]

By default, when something goes wrong we try to catch it, interpret it and give you a friendly warning message.

This avoids overwhelming you with "sea of red" exceptions, but is inconvenient because it basically disables

advanced scripting.

Using this switch turns this "nice by default" feature off and enables you to catch exceptions with your own

try/catch.
