NAME Find-DbaUserObject



SYNOPSIS

Searches SQL Server to find user-owned objects (i.e. not dbo or sa) or for any object owned by a specific user

specified by the Pattern parameter.





SYNTAX

Find-DbaUserObject [-SqlInstance] <Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]> [[-SqlCredential]

<Pscredential>] [[-Pattern] <String>] [-EnableException <Switch>] [<CommonParameters>]





DESCRIPTION

Looks at the below list of objects to see if they are either owned by a user or a specific user (using the

parameter -Pattern)

Server Roles



Database Schemas

PARAMETERS

-EnableException [<Switch>]

By default, when something goes wrong we try to catch it, interpret it and give you a friendly warning message.

This avoids overwhelming you with "sea of red" exceptions, but is inconvenient because it basically disables

advanced scripting.

Using this switch turns this "nice by default" feature off and enables you to catch exceptions with your own

try/catch.

The regex pattern that the command will search for

-SqlCredential [<Pscredential>]

Login to the target instance using alternative credentials. Accepts PowerShell credentials (Get-Credential).



Windows Authentication, SQL Server Authentication, Active Directory - Password, and Active Directory -

Integrated are all supported.
