NAME Get-DbaDbFeatureUsage
SYNOPSIS
Shows features that are enabled in the database but not supported on all editions of SQL Server. Basically checks
for Enterprise feature usage.
SYNTAX
Get-DbaDbFeatureUsage [[-SqlInstance] <Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]>]
[[-SqlCredential] <Pscredential>] [[-Database] <System.String[]>] [[-ExcludeDatabase] <System.String[]>]
[[-InputObject] <Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Database[]>] [-EnableException <Switch>] [<CommonParameters>]
DESCRIPTION
Shows features that are enabled in the database but not supported on all editions of SQL Server.
Basically checks for Enterprise feature usage.
This feature must be removed before the database can be migrated to all available editions of SQL Server.
PARAMETERS
-Database [<System.String[]>]
The database(s) to process - this list is auto-populated from the server. If unspecified, all databases will
be processed.
Required? false
Position? named
Default value
Accept pipeline input? False
Accept wildcard characters? false
-EnableException [<Switch>]
By default, when something goes wrong we try to catch it, interpret it and give you a friendly warning message.
This avoids overwhelming you with "sea of red" exceptions, but is inconvenient because it basically disables
advanced scripting.
Using this switch turns this "nice by default" feature off and enables you to catch exceptions with your own
try/catch.
