NAME Get-DbaForceNetworkEncryption

SYNOPSIS

Gets Force Encryption settings for a SQL Server instance

SYNTAX

Get-DbaForceNetworkEncryption [[-SqlInstance] <Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]>]

[[-Credential] <Pscredential>] [-EnableException <Switch>] [<CommonParameters>]

DESCRIPTION

Gets Force Encryption settings for a SQL Server instance. Note that this requires access to the Windows Server -

not the SQL instance itself.

This setting is found in Configuration Manager.

PARAMETERS

-Credential [<Pscredential>]

Allows you to login to the computer (not sql instance) using alternative Windows credentials

Required? false

Position? named

Default value

Accept pipeline input? False

Accept wildcard characters? false

-EnableException [<Switch>]

By default, when something goes wrong we try to catch it, interpret it and give you a friendly warning message.

This avoids overwhelming you with "sea of red" exceptions, but is inconvenient because it basically disables

advanced scripting.

Using this switch turns this "nice by default" feature off and enables you to catch exceptions with your own

try/catch.
