NAME Get-DbaTrace
SYNOPSIS
Gets a list of trace(s) from specified SQL Server Instance
SYNTAX
Get-DbaTrace [-SqlInstance] <Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]> [[-SqlCredential]
<Pscredential>] [[-Id] <System.Int32[]>] [-Default <Switch>] [-EnableException <Switch>] [<CommonParameters>]
DESCRIPTION
This function returns a list of traces on a SQL Server instance and identifies the default trace file
PARAMETERS
-Default [<Switch>]
Switch that will only return the information for the default system trace
Required? false
Position? named
Default value
Accept pipeline input? False
Accept wildcard characters? false
-EnableException [<Switch>]
By default, when something goes wrong we try to catch it, interpret it and give you a friendly warning message.
This avoids overwhelming you with "sea of red" exceptions, but is inconvenient because it basically disables
advanced scripting.
Using this switch turns this "nice by default" feature off and enables you to catch exceptions with your own
try/catch.
