NAME Set-DbaAgListener

SYNOPSIS

Sets a listener property for an availability group on a SQL Server instance.

SYNTAX

Set-DbaAgListener [[-SqlInstance] <Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]>] [[-SqlCredential]

<Pscredential>] [[-AvailabilityGroup] <System.String[]>] [[-Listener] <System.String[]>] [-Port] <Int>

[[-InputObject] <Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.AvailabilityGroup[]>] [-EnableException <Switch>]

[<CommonParameters>]

DESCRIPTION

Sets a listener property for an availability group on a SQL Server instance.

Basically, only the port is settable at this time, so this command updates the listener port.

PARAMETERS

-AvailabilityGroup [<System.String[]>]

The Availability Group to which a property will be changed.

Required? false

Position? named

Default value

Accept pipeline input? False

Accept wildcard characters? false

-EnableException [<Switch>]

By default, when something goes wrong we try to catch it, interpret it and give you a friendly warning message.

This avoids overwhelming you with "sea of red" exceptions, but is inconvenient because it basically disables

advanced scripting.

Using this switch turns this "nice by default" feature off and enables you to catch exceptions with your own

try/catch.
