SYNOPSIS

Starts Performance Monitor Data Collector Set.





SYNTAX

Start-DbaPfDataCollectorSet [[-ComputerName] <Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]>]

[[-Credential] <Pscredential>] [[-CollectorSet] <System.String[]>] [[-InputObject] <System.Object[]>] [-NoWait

<Switch>] [-EnableException <Switch>] [<CommonParameters>]





DESCRIPTION

Starts Performance Monitor Data Collector Set.





PARAMETERS

-CollectorSet [<System.String[]>]

The name of the Collector Set to start.

-ComputerName [<Sqlcollaborative.Dbatools.Parameter.DbaInstanceParameter[]>]

The target computer. Defaults to localhost.

-Credential [<Pscredential>]

Allows you to login to $ComputerName using alternative credentials. To use:



$cred = Get-Credential, then pass $cred object to the -Credential parameter.

-EnableException [<Switch>]

By default, when something goes wrong we try to catch it, interpret it and give you a friendly warning message.

This avoids overwhelming you with "sea of red" exceptions, but is inconvenient because it basically disables

advanced scripting.

Using this switch turns this "nice by default" feature off and enables you to catch exceptions with your own

try/catch.
