NAME New-VsanDiskGroup



SYNOPSIS

This cmdlet creates a new vSAN disk group backed by the specified devices.





SYNTAX

New-VsanDiskGroup -DataDiskCanonicalName <String[]> [-RunAsync] [-Server <VIServer[]>] -SsdCanonicalName <String>

-VMHost <VMHost> [-Confirm] [-WhatIf] [<CommonParameters>]





DESCRIPTION

This cmdlet creates a new vSAN disk group backed by the specified solid-state device and hard disk devices.

-DataDiskCanonicalName <String[]>

Specifies the canonical name of hard disks that should be included in this disk group and used for data.

-RunAsync [<SwitchParameter>]

Indicates that the command returns immediately without waiting for the task to complete. In this mode, the

Creates a new vSAN disk group at the $vmHost virtual machine host with a solid-state drive named

"MySsdCanonicalName" and hard disks named DataDisk1 and DataDisk2.
